Description
Metal (silver coloured) medallion. There is a clasp made from the same metal that joins the medal and the ribbon. One side of the medal has an crowned silhouette of George VI. An inscription circles the profile that reads / GEORGES VII G : BR : OMN : REX ET INDIAE IMP. The reverse has a lion standing on a fallen dragon. The top of this side of the middle shows the dates ' 1939 ' and ' 1945 '. The outer edge of the medal has an engraving of the recipients name / NX72397 E BENFIELD.
