Description
Flag, with hoist and attached rope out of frame on the back left. Each end of the rope has a metal attachment. Top and centre of the frame is a cardboard label attached with two metal push pins which states "This flag was flown from HMAS 'Australia' during / the battle of the Coral Sea, May 4 - 9 the May 1942. / Note holes from enemy fire. / Presented by John Ramsbottom o/n 23321." The frame has a metal hanging string on the back. The flag is damaged and is being held in place by adhesive tape and staples.
